Our Lambda Gamma Chapter has achieved much success in recent years since being re-chartered. To help insure the active Chapter continues to succeed it is time for us all to give back. In the past two years Lambda Gamma has excelled in scholarship; The brothers have been awarded the Silver Bowl Award from the Kappa Sigma National Office the past three years (one of only 8 Chapters to receive that award) as well as the JSU's President's Gold Cup for the 2012-2013 school year which is given to the best fraternity or sorority on JSU's campus.
In 2012, the Lambda-Gamma of Kappa Sigma Memorial Scholarship was established and set in motion by fellow alumni under the leadership of Brother, Dan Perry. The initial goal was to reach $5000.00 by the 2012 Homecoming weekend. With your generous gifts that goal was met and exceeded. there is currently over $13,000.00 in the scholarship fund. We would like to thank you again for your continued generosity.
Now it is time to begin the next phase of this scholarship campaign. The goal has been a set to reach $25,000.00 by the end of the 2015 calendar year. With help from Chapter Alumni and parents of the current undergraduates we will be able to reach that goal which will make the scholarship fully endowed. Once that is achieved we can begin awarding an annual Lambda Gamma Kappa Sigma Scholarship to a deserving active brother. By coordinating your gifts through the JSU Foundation they will be fully tax deductible. The JSU Foundation will receive a one-time gift or you can pledge to give over a period of time. Below are the amounts of giving that we have set with the JSU Foundation.
Cast your memory back to your time as an undergraduate of Lambda-Gamma. Times that helped shape you into who you are today. I ask that you let those memories be reflected in your generosity. Because of your giving, other brothers of Lambda-Gamma will be able to have those same experiences. If you would like to give online, please click here. When giving a pledge please refer to the amounts above and be sure to designate your gift as applicable to the “Lambda Gamma Kappa Sigma Scholarship.” Should you have questions or issues please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Again, your generosity is greatly appreciated and as always, Kappa Sigma is "not for a day or an hour or a college term only - but for life".

Five delegates were in attendance at Kappa Sigma's Leadership Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana this past July. During the morning awards presentation the Lambda-Gamma Chapter name was awarded the Silver Cup Award. The chapter is one of eight chapters recognized in the nation for successfully completing six consecutive semesters with a cumulative grade point average above the all mens' average. This marks the third consecutive Silver Bowl Award that the chapters has earned.
